Seven Arrested in Glenwood Springs Drug Trafficking Operation

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. – Authorities have arrested seven individuals in connection with a significant drug trafficking operation based out of a Glenwood Springs residence, alarmingly located near a middle school. The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating the operation since January 2023, revealing that the suspects were allegedly distributing illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, from Frisco to Rifle.

The primary residence linked to the trafficking is owned by 44-year-old Sindy Vazquez Martinez and 24-year-old Osbaldo Ramirez-Andrade. This location is approximately 60 yards from Glenwood Springs Middle School, raising concerns about the safety of the surrounding community.

The suspects arrested alongside Martinez and Ramirez-Andrade include: Henry Trujillo Benites, 44; Julian Cruz Carrazco, 28; Jose Manuel Romo Gallegos, 39; Cordelia Suazo Reed, 60; and Juan Alberto Guevara-Regalado, 39. Each is facing multiple felony drug charges, and the investigation is ongoing.

This operation is part of broader efforts by local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and ensure community safety. The involvement of multiple agencies underscores the seriousness of the charges and the collaboration necessary to tackle such criminal activities effectively.

As the investigation unfolds, residents remain concerned about the implications for their neighborhood, especially given the proximity to schools. Sheriff’s officials are urging the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
