Jeff Sperbeck, Longtime Friend of John Elway, on Life Support After Golf Cart Accident

LA QUINTA, Calif. — Jeff Sperbeck, a longtime marketing representative and close friend of NFL legend John Elway, is currently on life support following a tragic accident. The incident occurred after the Stagecoach music festival, when Sperbeck fell from a golf cart driven by Elway at the Madison Club, a private golf resort community where Elway owns a home.

Sperbeck, who has been closely associated with Elway since the quarterback’s glory days with the Denver Broncos in the early 1990s, has been integral to Elway’s various business ventures, including the 7 Cellars wine brand and Elway restaurants. Their relationship has always extended beyond business, with Sperbeck often accompanying Elway during his tenure as the Broncos’ general manager from 2011 to 2020.

According to reports from TMZ, Sperbeck was riding on the back of the golf cart when he fell and struck his head on the pavement. Elway immediately called 911, and paramedics swiftly transported Sperbeck to a local hospital. He was found breathing but unconscious.

As the situation remains grave, Sperbeck is being kept on life support for organ donation purposes. Elway is reportedly devastated by the incident, which has drawn significant media attention, increasing the visibility of their past collaborations.

The Riverside Sheriff’s Office has opened an investigation into the accident but has not released further details at this time.
