OroraTech Launches U.S. Headquarters in Denver, Pioneering Satellite Wildfire Monitoring

Denver, CO – In response to the escalating wildfire crisis in the U.S., OroraTech, a Germany-based aerospace innovator, has established its U.S. headquarters in downtown Denver, specializing in satellite-based wildfire detection. The company operates the largest constellation of satellites dedicated to wildfire tracking, featuring ten thermal imaging satellites combined with a network of over 40 public satellites in low-Earth orbit.

As wildfires continue to threaten the nation, with damages from the 2025 L.A. fires projected at $135 billion, OroraTech aims to empower emergency responders with real-time data. Co-founder Thomas Gruebler emphasized the urgency, stating, “Every minute counts in wildfire management, and our technology enhances decision-making capabilities for first responders.”

OroraTech’s satellites, specifically engineered for detecting heat anomalies, provide instantaneous analysis, contrasting with traditional satellite systems that often deliver outdated data. Jay Stalnacker, the company’s vice president of strategy and a former fire management officer, highlighted the transformative potential of their innovative approach. “We are adding more time to the clock in wildfire decision-making,” he noted.

The strategic location in Colorado was chosen for its robust wildfire management initiatives and a thriving aerospace sector. The company has already secured its first U.S. contract with Larimer County, demonstrating the crucial need for advanced wildfire intelligence.

In addition to its U.S. operations, OroraTech recently signed a €20 million deal to monitor wildfires across Greece, showcasing its expanding international influence. As wildfires become more frequent and destructive, OroraTech is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing firefighting technology and protecting communities nationwide.
