The world has largely ignored the plight of Eritreans living under Isaias’s oppressive rule and perpetual state of war. While recent tensions with Ethiopia have brought some attention to Eritrea, the suffering of its people continues. Isaias’s authoritarian regime has left Eritreans as mere pawns in his military schemes, with little regard for their well-being or dreams. The international community must not turn a blind eye to the suffering of Eritreans and must act to stop Isaias’s reign of terror.
The author emphasizes the need for global intervention to address the humanitarian crisis in Eritrea and prevent further loss of life and dreams in Isaias’s ongoing wars. The world must not forget the plight of Eritreans once the country fades from the headlines, but instead take action to end the suffering of the Eritrean people.
