Today’s Weather in Denver: What to Expect


Residents of metro Denver are in for several days of wet weather as April kicks off. The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts an increase in cloud cover and a chance of rain and snow showers throughout Tuesday. Temperatures will reach a high near 56, with breezy conditions and gusty winds expected.

In the mountains, snowfall will be heavier with up to 14 inches in high elevations and 2 to 6 inches in some areas. The plains and east slopes will also experience strong winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 mph in the afternoon. Light showers are expected with minimal impact on travel.

The soggy weather will continue into the evening with a chance of rain and snow before 10 p.m. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 29 degrees with little to no snow accumulation. Wednesday through Saturday will see more snow and rain, with temperatures remaining in the lower 40s.
