Davis, the defending national champion, made 35 saves to frustrate BC for the second consecutive year, adding to his impressive record of success. The Pioneers, who are seeking their 11th national title, will face off against NCHC rival Western Michigan in the semifinals.

Denver’s goals from defensemen Eric Pohlkamp and James Reeder propelled them to victory, with Zeev Buium adding an empty-netter to seal the win. The Pioneers’ coach, David Carle, praised his team’s performance and ability to adjust to BC’s strong game plan.
