The company, known for its graphic undershirts, was founded by Stacy Flax who was inspired by the lack of fun graphics on men’s undershirts compared to other clothing items. The shirts feature slogans and designs tailored to the personality or performances of the recipients. Previous nominees like Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling have received the unique shirts in their gift bags.
Flax recently relocated Bored Rebel to Denver from Virginia, where she started the company three years ago. As part of this year’s gift bags, nominees will receive a t-shirt with the message ‘LA Strong’ to show support for those affected by the Los Angeles fires. In a gesture of generosity, Bored Rebel has also pledged to donate one shirt for every shirt purchased in March to assist fire victims.
