Shelby Robb, a former softball player at MSU Denver, was named one of the NCAA’s “Today’s Top 10” athletes in 2025. This award recognizes exceptional athletes from all sports, divisions, and genders based on academics, athletics, and community involvement. Robb, who was also a finalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year award in 2024, attributes her success to the mantra instilled in her by her parents – if a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing well.
One of Robb’s passions is community service, particularly supporting The Miracle League of Denver, a softball league for individuals with disabilities, including her cousin with cerebral palsy. Through her involvement with this organization, Robb discovered her true calling in life – making the world a better place. Beyond her athletic career, Robb is committed to inspiring and empowering the next generation of female athletes, believing that the increasing visibility of women in sports provides young girls with role models to look up to.
Robb’s dedication to giving back and mentoring young athletes showcases her belief in the impact that one person can have on someone’s life. As she transitions from the field to a role as an advocate for girls in sports, Robb hopes to provide opportunities for young athletes to advance in their sports and become good people. She acknowledges the importance of role models in her own life and is determined to make a difference in the lives of those who look up to her.
