Beverly Nguyen Hosts a Lunar New Year Celebration

Beverly Nguyen, a Vietnamese-American entrepreneur, recently hosted an elaborate Lunar New Year party in New York City, honoring her family’s traditions and celebrating the importance of coming together. The event, held at the TriBeCa events space 102 Franklin Street, was attended by close friends and colleagues, including architects, graphic designers, and restaurant industry professionals.

Nguyen meticulously prepared for the event by cleaning her apartment, setting up an altar to honor her ancestors, and cooking traditional Vietnamese dishes like spring rolls and pork belly. She also partnered with Glenlivet to create two signature cocktails for the occasion. The party featured a lion dance performance and a playlist curated by a friend.

The table setting was inspired by the movie “In the Mood for Love,” with floral arrangements created by a creative director lending a romantic ambiance. The menu included a variety of Vietnamese dishes, desserts, and lucky $2 bills in red envelopes as a Lunar New Year tradition.

Nguyen believes in offering a variety of dishes at larger parties to allow guests to try different flavors. She emphasized the importance of celebrating with food and bringing people together to heal during times of grief or emotional reflection.

Overall, Nguyen’s Lunar New Year party was a beautiful blend of tradition, community, and delicious cuisine, showcasing her talent for hosting memorable events and bringing diverse groups of people together in celebration.
