An Avalanche Warning is in place for certain mountain ranges through Sunday night. Strong winds are expected in the mountains and foothills on Sunday into Monday, with gusts reaching up to 90 mph in wind-prone areas. Hazardous crosswinds are possible on highways in those regions. Light snow may return to the mountains mid-week, with temperatures dropping into the 40s next weekend and light snow possibly reaching the Denver metro area.
