Sunny Skies Ahead for Denver After Snowy Thursday
DENVERS – After a chilly Thursday marked by cold temperatures and snowfall, residents of Denver can look forward to a return of sunshine and milder weather this Friday. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Boulder, the sun will shine brightly, with temperatures climbing to a high near 42 degrees. Light south-southwest winds are expected, blowing gently at around 7 mph.
As the day progresses, the NWS forecasts increasing winds in the higher mountain areas and Front Range foothills tonight. Tonight, temperatures will drop to around 25 degrees under partly cloudy skies, with south-southwest winds at 6 to 9 mph.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Denver’s mountain regions are predicted to experience light to moderate snow along with windy conditions, leading to hazardous driving situations. Meanwhile, the plains, including the city, may face a slight chance of light snow on Saturday, although accumulation is expected to be minimal.
The extended forecast reflects a trend toward drier conditions in the Denver metro area for the week ahead. The NWS provided insights into the upcoming four-day weather outlook:
