Lawsuit Alleges Sexual Abuse by Sam Altman on Younger Sister

Ann Altman, the younger sister of OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman, has filed a lawsuit in Missouri federal court accusing her brother of sexually abusing her when she was a minor. The abuse allegedly occurred from 1997 to 2006, starting when Ann was just 3 years old. The lawsuit stated that Ann suffered bodily injury and long-lasting emotional and mental distress as a result of the abuse.

Despite Ann previously making similar claims on social media, Sam Altman, along with his mother and brothers, denied the allegations, stating that Ann had mental health challenges and refused conventional treatment. The family expressed immense pain over the situation and highlighted Ann’s previous behavior.

Sam Altman, known for his work with OpenAI and the beloved ChatGPT chatbot, has gained fame in the AI community. He recently completed a funding deal valuing OpenAI at $157 billion.

Ann’s lawsuit seeks a jury trial and damages exceeding $75,000, with her lawyer indicating that they would seek full compensation for the harm done. They are also seeking punitive damages based on Sam Altman’s net worth.

The lawsuit was filed just before an important deadline in Missouri law that allows survivors of childhood sexual abuse to bring a lawsuit up to 10 years after their 21st birthday, which Ann recently celebrated. Sam Altman and Ann have not responded to requests for comment on the matter.
