Denver Residents Invited to Enjoy Local Events This Week

Denver, CO — Exciting opportunities for entertainment and cultural experiences are lining up this week in the Denver area. Residents and visitors can explore various events, from live music and art exhibits to seasonal activities.

Starting Monday, the downtown area invites all to enjoy free trolley rides from 5 to 7 p.m., showcasing the festive decorations. The pickup and drop-off points include the Encore Garage Entrance on South Street and the Douglas County School District Parking Lot on 6th Street.

A unique twist on holiday cheer can be found at the “Sippin’ Santa” pop-up bar, located at Bernard’s Tiki Room in Arvada. The bar is open from 5 to 11 p.m. with reservations required for a 1-hour, 15-minute experience, accompanied by a non-refundable fee.

Music lovers can catch the Alex Heffron Quartet at Dazzle at Baur’s at 6:30 p.m., while Slim Cessna’s Auto Club performs later in the evening at Hi-Dive. Additionally, popular band Umphrey’s McGee will take the stage at Boulder Theater at 8 p.m.

Art enthusiasts can visit the Denver Art Museum to see the exhibit "Wild Things: The Art of Maurice Sendak," running through February 17. The Kirkland Museum features "Vanity & Vice: American Art Deco" until June 1, while "The 90s: Last Decade Before the Future" is available at the History Colorado Center until October 25.

Throughout the week, live performances also include Greensky Bluegrass at the Mission Ballroom and artist Squwerv at Lost Lake Lounge.
