Swedish Hot Dog Pop-Up Brings Holiday Cheer to Denver
DENVER – This Saturday, Dec. 14, a unique holiday pop-up event will delight Denver’s food lovers as Hej Hej, a Swedish hot dog pop-up, joins forces with Lottie’s Meats & Provisions at Call to Arms Brewing Co. from noon to 3 p.m. Chef Amelia Eudailey, the culinary force behind Hej Hej, promises festive flavors that marry traditional Scandinavian cuisine with modern flair.
Eudailey, who transitioned from a tech career to pursue her culinary passions, founded Hej Hej in the San Francisco Bay Area last year. Inspired by her childhood visits to Sweden, Eudailey’s dishes evoke nostalgic flavors enriched with contemporary twists. The upcoming event will mark her debut in her hometown of Denver, a move Eudailey has long envisioned.
“I had always wanted to do a pop in my hometown of Denver,” Eudailey shares. “It’s the most fun excuse to showcase Lottie’s Meats’ insane hot dog creations alongside my Swedish hot dogs.”
Lottie’s Meats & Provisions, co-founded by sisters Chelsey and Cassie Maschoff, specializes in high-quality, chef-crafted pork sausages, drawing inspiration from their agricultural upbringing in Illinois. They echo Eudailey’s commitment to community and creativity, making this collaboration a perfect alignment.
Highlights of the pop-up menu include the French Onion Brat, adorned with caramelized onions and spicy shallot aioli, and the Swedish Juldog, reminiscent of a Christmas spread with cheesy mashed potatoes and pickled beets. Additionally, crispy potatoes with spicy shallot aioli will be available.
This family-friendly event welcomes all ages without the need for reservations, inviting attendees to enjoy hot dogs paired with craft beers and ciders from Call to Arms, offering a delightful culinary escape amid the holiday rush.
