Woman Found Deceased Following Disappearance in Littleton, Colorado
LITTLETON, Colo. — Tragic news emerged Monday as authorities confirmed the death of 46-year-old Janya Lang, who had been reported missing just days before Thanksgiving. Lang was last seen on November 24 in Littleton, where she was allegedly en route to Summit County, a location she often visited, according to her family.
Lang’s brother, Eric Horvat, shared that she was headed to the factory shops in Silverthorne on the day of her disappearance but failed to show up for work in the subsequent days. Concern grew within her family when they noted that Lang, who maintained daily contact with her aunt, had not reached out since her last known sighting.
On Monday, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Karlyn Tilley announced that Lang’s body had been found and confirmed her death was ruled a suicide. This announcement adds to the deep sense of grief among her loved ones who described Lang as an outdoor enthusiast with a penchant for mountain visits.
The case has brought to light the importance of mental health and support systems, urging those in distress to seek help. The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available for those in need, offering support via phone at 988 or through online chat services.
