Boulder County Clerk and Reporter Molly Fitzpatrick is leading tours of the county’s ballot counting facilities ahead of Election Day. With a record number of more than 200 people taking the tours this year, Fitzpatrick aims to provide transparency and address concerns about the voting process. The tours showcase the machines and bipartisan teams that sort, verify signatures, and count the ballots while emphasizing the security measures in place.
Fitzpatrick stresses that security protocols such as badge entry, background checks for staff, and 24/7 camera surveillance are in place to ensure the integrity of the election process. Participants in the tours have expressed increased faith in the process and believe that democracy is functioning well in Boulder County. Fitzpatrick invites anyone with questions or concerns about elections to visit the facility and get their questions answered.
