The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery and shooting that took place in the southwest Denver metro area on Friday night. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on the 11400 block of W. Burgandy Avenue, where a male victim was robbed of his wallet. After the robbery, the victim followed the suspects’ Subaru, leading to a collision near W. Belleview Avenue and S. Owens Street. A male suspect then fired several rounds at the victim, striking the victim’s vehicle, although no injuries were reported.

Despite an extensive search, the suspects, described as a Black or Hispanic male and a female accomplice, remain at large. The male suspect is said to be 6’ to 6’4” tall, 150 to 180 pounds, and was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident. The female accomplice had long dark hair and was wearing a blue shirt and shorts.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the crime to call their tipline at 303-271-5612. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the armed robbery and shooting.
