Fort Collins resident charged with 2 counts of unlawful sexual contact

Fort Collins, Colo. – Ronald Wilder, 29, has been identified as the suspect in two separate cases of unlawful sexual contact against women in Fort Collins. He was arrested on Sept. 13 and booked into the Larimer County Jail, where he posted bond and was released. The incidents occurred on Aug. 6, with two different women reporting that Wilder approached them while they were walking and made unwanted advances. In both cases, Wilder allegedly grabbed the women before fleeing the scene.

According to the Fort Collins Police Services (FCPS), Wilder faces two counts of unlawful sexual contact, a Class 1 misdemeanor. The victims, who did not know the suspect, described him as a tall, thin, dark-skinned man in his 20s. Lt. Kelly Weaver of the FCPS Strategic Operations Group emphasized that such behavior is not acceptable and encouraged the community to report any suspicious activity.

Police suspect that Wilder may have victimized other individuals and are asking anyone with information to contact Corporal Mike Harres. While a photo of the suspect was not immediately available, the FCPS is working diligently to ensure the safety of the community. Denver7 is committed to supporting the community and standing up for what is right, as demonstrated in their featured videos showcasing Coloradans making a difference.
