Increased Chance of Storms Forecasted for Colorado on Wednesday

The Front Range is starting off dry today, but there is a better chance of storms and showers in the afternoon. Rain and wet roads are already present in the high country and moving east, benefiting the wildfire on Lookout Mountain. Some severe storms are expected east of Fort Morgan and Limon. Temperatures will reach the low-90s for the sixth consecutive day in Denver, marking the 50th day of 90+ degree temperatures this season. Thursday and Friday will see a slight cooling trend, with temperatures in the upper-80s in lower elevations and mid-to upper-70s in the mountains. Saturday will be hotter and drier in the low-90s, with a windy and warm Sunday and a slight chance of storms during the Broncos game. Early next week, a cold front will bring cooler temperatures on Monday with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the low- to mid-50s. Overall, Colorado can expect a mix of heat, storms, and cooler temperatures in the upcoming days.
