San Bernardino homes destroyed in Edgehill Fire, forcing residents to evacuate

A fast-moving wildfire in San Bernardino, California, known as the Edgehill Fire, started on Little Mountain and quickly burned about 100 acres, destroying homes and forcing evacuations. The San Bernardino County Fire Department issued evacuation orders for homes on the south side of the mountain as temperatures soared to 109 F and remained above 100 degrees. An investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated. The Edgehill Fire is just one of many wildfires burning in the western half of the United States, including the massive Park Fire in northern California, the fourth largest in the state’s history. Over 30 major fires are also burning in the Pacific Northwest, with fires in Oregon prompting evacuation warnings for over 9,000 people. The fires in the region have charred hundreds of thousands of acres and destroyed hundreds of structures. As the fires continue to burn, residents and emergency responders are working tirelessly to contain the flames and protect communities. The situation is constantly evolving, with officials closely monitoring the fires and providing updates to the public.
