South Metro Fire Rescue successfully controlled a one-acre brush fire at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds and Regional Park. The firefighters were able to stop the forward progress of the fire and extinguish hot spots by 6:53 p.m. Fortunately, no structures were damaged, and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The incident is considered under control by the South Metro Fire Rescue. The Arapahoe County Fairgrounds is located at 25690 E. Quincy Ave. Other wildfires are also burning in Colorado, but this particular fire has been contained.
