Investigation Underway into Potential Homicides of Two Individuals in Colorado College Dormitory

Two people were found dead in a dorm room at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Friday morning, prompting the police to investigate the incident as homicides. The victims, who were not immediately identified, were both shot at least once in what was described as an isolated incident. The campus was put on lockdown for about 90 minutes before it was isolated to a student apartment complex. The campus remained closed for the day and the following weekend, with walk-in counseling services being offered to students and staff.

The university, which has over 11,000 students and nearly 2,000 faculty and staff, announced that classes would be cancelled on Monday and that walk-in counseling services would continue to be available. Additional support and resources, including food and a planned walk across campus, were also being offered to the community affected by the tragedy. The school emphasized the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment for everyone during this difficult time.

The Colorado Springs Police Department is working to determine the cause of death for the two individuals and is continuing to investigate the case. More information will be provided as the investigation progresses and the authorities work to bring justice to those involved in the tragic incident.
